mtu EnergyPack QM
The mtu EnergyPack QM is designed for customer applications with power and capacity requirements of up to 2,000 kVA and 2,600 kWh and above (multiple units). It is suitable for rural grid stabilization, integrating solar assets and wind parks into the power grid, and for providing frequency regulation and other ancillary services in the utilities sector. It is housed in a standard 40 ft high cube ISO container.
The mtu EnergyPack is a key component for improving the reliability of powergrids and energy systems. It stores excess electric energy from any power source – such as the utlity power grid, wind turbines or solar panels, or even distribute generator sets – and delivers it when needed. The mtu EnergyPack QM, iis available power from 300 kVA to 800 kVA, and storgage capacity from 300 kWh to 1 000 kWh. Several units can be linked together for even higher capacity.
The mtu EnergyPack comes factory-tested for installation on site. This ensures fast, easy installation, reducing setup time and costs. Power is available more quickly, and at lower cost. Storage capacity and type of battery rating can easily be adapted, whatever your individual power and capacity requirements. The battery energy storage system (BESS) can perform black starts without auxiliary voltage, and can also form an autonomous grid. The system is equipped with remote monitoring and data logging, enabling centralised monitoring and system management from the opeartion centre.

The interiors of the containerized housings are divided into sections – some with outside air contact and some without – to keep the sensitive electrics and batteries protected from any pollution.
